Samsung LN55A950 120HZ 55 inch 1080P LCD TV Review @ Tweaknews

"The model being reviewed today is fully 120hz compliant, has full LED backlighting, it has Samsung's top of the line 55 inch LCD panel for their best color reproduction they have available. This should be an interesting review to see if the newer 120hz technology does work, or as with any first implementations, this could be deemed as an expensive trial run to iron out the bugs before the true home run hit is released the second year."

Cooler Master SNA 95 Slim Notebook Universal Power Adapter Review @ Tweaknews

"The idea of a single adapter to charge and power your laptop and all your other mobile devices is very appealing and would be especially desirable by business travelers who depend on these devices for their livelihood. Cooler Master's release of the SNA 95 has garnered more than a little attention around the web and I was excited to get one for evaluation. However, after using the thing for a week or so, I'm a bit underwhelmed."

Cooler Master Sileo 500 Mid-Tower ATX Computer Case Review @ Tweaknews

"If, as they say, silence is golden, then Cooler Master chose the wrong color for their Sileo 500 computer case. As this review shows, the Sileo is clearly up to the task of keeping even the most demanding hardware comfortably cool, and doing it at near silence. After playing with this chassis for a week or so, I can assure you it would be very easy to build a silent machine using this chassis and some carefully chosen mainstream hardware."

"In the end this little keyboard exceeded my expectations. The construction is very solid, the orange backlighting looks awesome, and it has a nearly full 103-key lineup so it's perfect for just about any task. Gaming is what it's designed for and it works great for that, but the soft and quiet keys also work well for general computer use."

"With most new product introductions on the market, usually the first generation is a prototype which they then improve on and then release a better product after they have ironed out all the design bugs. But with Cresyn and their CS-HP500, they definitely buck that trend. With exceptional audio and build quality coupled with a foldable design and comfort, the CS-HP500 can easily be summed up as a safe buy for people needing a good set of foldable headphones that won't break the bank."

"With so many gadgets using USB these days, just about everyone can benefit from a product like this. It's an inexpensive, practical, and stylish way to add an extra four USB ports to any system. The top loading port is useful for quickly attaching a flash drive or mp3 player, and the remaining three ports are spaced far enough apart that plugging in devices next to each other shouldn't result in a tight squeeze."

NZXT Rogue Small Form Factor Gaming Chassis Review @ Tweaknews

"NZXT's entry into the SFF market can certainly be summed up as a decent first attempt. I give the company points for coming up with a unique design that deviates away from the standard cookie cutter type stuff currently available on the market. Overall highlights to look out for are the beautiful brushed aluminum bezel and side panels, embedded chrome lock, five 120mm stock fan mounts for good air circulation and support for full sized PSU's.."

"The SC-HMX20C represents an HD camcorder that most will find easy use, feature packed and has all issues solved from the previous year's model.

"At around $200, the XT is at the very top of its class, both in features and cost. While the XT has great specs, a generous and innovative feature set and outstanding components and efficiency, 200 bones still seems a bit excessive for a 750W PSU these days. Don't get me wrong, this is an excellent power supply and the five-tear warranty sweetens the deal a bit, but the high cost almost kept it off the Top Rank list."

"As you can guess from their name, Silenx has built their reputation around quiet PC accessories. Their IXC-120HA2 CPU cooler easily lives up to this reputation by being, well, very quiet. Even with its modest fan speeds, this cooler did an excellent job of cooling the Q6600 during testing. That is, until I added some voltage and clock cycles. When your packaging boldly states, “designed for gamers and overclockers,” you'd better bring more performance to the table that the IXC-120HA2 does."

"For some enthusiasts, great cooling can make up for some shortcomings elsewhere, provided those shortcomings can be dealt with. What I said in my earlier review can still be said about the V9 Black Edition, “The V9 along with the newer V9 Black Edition is fundamentally a cheap, flimsy case with cheesy, stamped features and an interior that doesn't work all that well"."

It has good cooling performance (particularly the CPU,) is quiet and has a very distinctive look with some lighting effects you won't find on any other case.

"With their redesigned Guardian 921 gaming case, NZXT has updated the look and features of the original Guardian while managing to keep its feel and tone. The “armored” look is still there and the updated visual elements are tastefully done, giving the case a fresh, new look while paying homage to the original. I found the illuminated temperature display and eSATA port refreshing and, while not strictly necessary in a gaming case, both features should prove useful."

The fit and finish is excellent and the design is fundamentally sound. Cooling performance is also very good, until the voltage is raised anyway. Even then, it's much better than the OEM cooler but falls a bit behind most of the other coolers in the comparison."

Is it, as Antec touts, the “Unbeatable Gaming Case?” If cooling and configuration options are the benchmarks we're looking at, it just may be. With six case fans included (five 120's and a massive 200mm top fan) and a distinctive look incorporating a chevron side window, uniform black finish inside and out and the mesh front, the Twelve Hundred brings a lot to the table in both performance and aesthetics."

"The stand in particular turned out to be more rugged than I initially thought it would be. Despite that though, a drive mounted on the dock can still shimmy around pretty easily with the slightest touch. Because of this, it is probably best suited for an environment where it's not likely to be disturbed."

"Cooler Master's V10 is impressive in many respects. Size and stature are reassuringly large, but fitment may be an issue for some motherboards and cases. The engineering innovation and design are quite nice, as is the fit and finish. Unfortunately, the high cost and potentially troublesome installation leave something to be desired. Frankly, there are better performing coolers out there that are half the price, easier to install and perform just as well."

It handles all the recent games with relative ease all while under very tough image quality and resolution settings and all for a price of around US$189. Couple in the fact that you get one or even two quality recent games with the package and you have a purchase that will perform right out of the box."

This card at around US$275-$300 at the time of this review is a great deal and will have anyone enjoying the latest games with higher resolutions and quality settings while still providing decent framerates. Although this is no HD4870 X2 killer by any means, it does hold it own when it comes to your performance dollar."

The pearl white/black color scheme is refreshing and the multiple doors maintain a uniform look while providing easy access to the external drives and ports. I'm also impressed with the cooling scheme In Win uses here. "With the NH-U12P, Noctua has brought one of those rare products to the market that can provide high performance cooling while still maintaining very low noise levels. The included low noise adapters are a nice touch and definitely add value, but even at full speed the fan is one of the quietest active CPU coolers I've come across."

"With the Silentuium T2 ECO 80 chassis, Arctic Cooling set out to target the green, quiet-computing market segment. While this market is showing growth lately, it's still a relatively small niche, and niche products are a little tricky to review. One has to consider the compromises that are necessary in order to target the desired niche market. For example, the quiet computing crowd is perfectly willing to tolerate higher temps and even lower performance in order to achieve a near silent system. Up to a point."

"AeroCool's AeroRacer Pro turned out to be a mixed bag. I like the exterior finish treatment and the overall look of the case. The cooling performance was very good although I think a few minor tweaks could enhance the airflow while reducing audible noise. I even like the large power button with its chrome bezel and blue backlighting, but the “ENGINE START” business seems a bit gratuitous to me."

"Well, Thermaltake's V9 gaming case is a mixed bag. The aesthetics I like a lot, and the cooling performance should support even the most demanding gaming hardware. The fans move a lot of air and are quiet enough to satisfy the vast majority of gaming enthusiasts. There are, however, some issues with the V9 that prospective buyers should be aware of. Personally, I think fit and finish is a very important aspect of a chassis review. As I mentioned earlier, I really like the finish; the fit, not so much."

"I loved Zalman's HD160XT when I got a chance to look at it in early 2007. It was hard for me to imagine that they could improve on it very much. Well, they found a way. Actually a couple of ways. I like the reorganized front panel for the improved access to the control buttons and I/O features. I also think that the change to the iMON software is an improvement, not only for its functionality, but also for the future support and updates that will be available from SoundGraph. Losing fan control and temperature monitoring is a bit of a disappointment, but the fans in the HD160XT Plus are very quiet (at 5V) anyway, and looking back, I don't think I used the temp monitor that much either."

"This case works well for a basic HTPC build and supports both Micro ATX and full ATX motherboards, but unfortunately there are a few shortcomings that keep it from being a fierce competitor in the case market. The inclusion of a remote, internal card reader and PSU add a lot of convenience but with only 220W of power, hardware must be planned out accordingly."

ULTRA X3 800WATT MODULAR POWER SUPPLY REVIEW @ Tweaknews.net

"Testing yielded stable voltages, quiet operation and I won't have to worry about buying a new power supply when the time comes to upgrade my system. The flat, flexible modular cabling system was great to work with and has spoiled me completely. I can't imagine going back to regular cables, much less a non-modular design."

BUYING A NEW COMPUTER TODAY: FORCE FED TECHNOLOGY THAT THE AVERAGE CONSUMER DOESN'T NEED EDITORIAL @ Tweaknews.net

"To help me convince you that this is also true for the computer hardware industry, tell me if you have heard of anyone saying, (Man I just bought this computer 6 months ago and it is now obsolete!). But who dictates that a computer is obsolete? Just because Rev.B of your motherboard came out, or the latest processor is 200Mhz faster than yours doesn't mean your computer is obsolete. If it accomplishes the tasks you need, it is only obsolete when it won't do a specific task for you, and nothing less. The computer industry will try to convince you that yours is obsolete by releasing a new product every six months in order to keep their sales figures high and put pressure on the layman to upgrade."

"I always enjoy being surprised by a product and the M-Play Blast was one such device. Not only did it exceed my expectations, it thoroughly impressed me. If you are looking for a remote setup for your media center and want something that looks at home with your VCR and other entertainment systems then the retro look of the M-play Blast should be right up your alley."

CIRAGO MICRO USB BLUETOOTH ADAPTER @ Tweaknews.net

This USB Bluetooth adapter from Cirago may be one of the tiniest currently on the market, but it performed admirably and exceeded my expectations. Even with the devices in different rooms I had zero connection problems between the adapter and my cell phone. The presence of other 2.4 GHz wireless signals in the house didn't cause any interference either. For a mere $25, you can't go wrong.

The QX9770 being reviewed today is Intel's latest Socket 775 Quad-Core which not only boasts the smaller 45nm manufacturing process as the QX9650 (Review: Here), but it also ups the stock core speed by 200Mhz to 3.2Ghz, cranks up the FSB from 1333Mhz to a screaming 1600Mhz, and for good measure slaps on another 4MB of on die cache to keep all cores fed properly.

IN WIN B2 STEALTH BOMBER COMPUTER CASE @ Tweaknews.net

Regardless of whether or not you're a fighter jet enthusiast, In Win's latest offering is worthy of your next system build or simply to replace an old, boring case. It has just about every feature that one would need while maintaining a sleek, non-cluttered look just like the jet it was inspired by. Quite honestly, I can't find any real reason not to highly recommend it.
