NOTE: Opening the case on any PSU will likely void your warranty and can be very dangerous! Do not try this at home!
The inside of the ZM600-HP doesn't look as crowded as most PSUs. This may be due to the heatpipe design. That 120mm fan should have no
trouble keeping the interior sufficiently cool.

Looking up the UL number on the label, I was surprised to find Zalman listed as the manufacturer. However, a little research on some of the component part numbers lead me to speculate that this PSU is manufactured by the Sparkle/Fortron group, a reputable manufacturer of some very high quality power supplies and components.

While there are a couple of small heatsinks here, the heatpipe system cools the main rectifiers. Also notice that the native cables are sleeved well into the case. While this is a small detail, it's a nice touch.

The heatpipe system consists of a copper pipe and aluminum fins. While the fins are relatively closely spaced, they should allow more than enough airflow for good cooling here.

Blue LEDs are mounted at strategic locations in the ZM600-HP to add a bit of visual interest.

The ADDA fan's speed is regulated according to power demand, rather than temperature, although the two frequently go hand-in-hand. Quality components throughout should make the Zalman ZM600-HP a real winner. Let's put it in a system and see how it performs.
