PROUCT INTRODUCTION
As with most computer components today, everything is getting faster, smaller, hotter and more complicated. To most notebook owners, all these four traits can easily be applied to what they use every day. Notebooks today are running processors and other components that put out a lot more heat than anything we have seen previously. It has come to a point where a lot of notebook users are seeing more and more heat related failures. The small cpu cooler supplied with most thin laptops is sufficient for light loads but when things get heavy during some gaming or photo/video rendering, the cooling solution has a hard time getting enough cool air through the computer to keep temperatures at stable levels.
Because of this, lately there has been a whole slew of manufacturers releasing their version of what a notebook cooler should be. Some are nothing more than a piece of perforated aluminum, but what is being seen more and more is actively cooled solutions equipped with USB powered fans.
Today we will be reviewing Zalman's foray into the notebook cooling department. Their actively cooled notebook cooling option has everything needed to be a winner. Let's see if it pulls through with a win.
