PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES
As you can see, the Z7 Plus is a mid-tower chassis with a roomy interior and some interesting features. For the metrically challenged among us, the case dimensions are 8.8”(W) x 18.6”(H) x 19.5”(D) and Zalman claims that the Z7 Plus will accept graphics cards up to 11.8” in length and CPU coolers up to 6.4” tall. That gives the consumer a lot of options when choosing components and cooling. There's also plenty of room for drives as we'll see a bit later. But I'm anxious to get a look at the chassis, so let's get right to it.
The carton is a bit planer than what one might expect, but all the information is there to let the consumer know what features can be expected once the purchase arrives at its new home. The colorful arrow sticker in the top left corner lets us know that Zalman includes an extra 120mm fan with the Z7 Plus. Just a cursory examination of the carton reveals evidence of some rough handling on its long journey to the Tweaknews lab. Fortunately, the heavy cardboard and…
…internal packing materials were up to the task and the Z7 arrived in pristine condition. Not only did the case come wrapped in a heavy plastic bag and sandwiched between two Styrofoam blocks, Zalman further protected the shiny bits of the front panel with more plastic sheeting.
Zalman includes a comprehensive and detailed users manual along with the mounting hardware and wire ties in a durable clear zipper bag that may just last as long as the case. Awhite cardboard box holds the additional 120mm fan as promised on the carton and includes four black mounting screws. We'll go over the particulars of mounting the fan a bit later but for now, let's take a closer look at the Z7 Plus and its accessories.
