PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Home theatre systems are becoming more and more popular as large, high-definition displays become more affordable. Another trend that's been developing is computer components becoming more efficient and hence, quieter and cooler. With storage and DDR2 memory as inexpensive as it is, a home theatre PC can make a lot of sense these days. And, when contemplating an HTPC build, the enclosure is one of the toughest decisions you'll have to make. Not only does it have to hold all the hardware you need, it has to keep it cool and be as quiet as possible. Oh yeah, it needs to look good, too.
Zalman has been building high-end HTPC cases for a while now and we've got their latest in the lab for evaluation. The HD160XT Plus is similar to its predecessor, the HD160XT that we looked at in March of '07. (You can reference the review HERE .) It also has some interesting innovations so I'll be spending most of my time on the new stuff. Let's see what Zalman has brought to the table with its new HD160XT Plus.
