PRODUCT INSTALLATION
So how easily does this cooler install?
Installation on a socket 1366 processor was a little more tedious than it had to be. First the mount bracket had to be put in place on the top of the motherboard. But this is where the fun began.
While holding it in place, you had to try and screw four very small screws in place to secure the bracket in place. When compared to other cooler installations, this was a bit of a pain and a simpler and easier mounting solution should be used. Although it wasn't impossible, it could use some improvement and strengthening. The whole weight is being supported on four tiny heads of four tiny screws. A back plate is needed for sure.
Once the lower bracket is in place, the cooler base is slipped into the upper bracket and the whole unit screws into the bottom for a firm fit onto the top of the processor. Just make sure you don't have too much thermal paste on and only use as little as possible.
