<--SHOP FOR A LOGITECH Z2200 THX CERTIFIED 2.1 SPEAKER SYSTEM
PRODUCT INSTALLATION
As with most computer speaker systems on the market, they are very
easy to install and setup can be completed within a couple of minutes.
The satellite speakers connections are via composite cables
that handle both the power and the audio signal. They are color coordinated
for easy installation into the rear of the subwoofer.

So all that is needed to install this system it to plug
in the two color coordinated satellite cables, plug in the serial wired
remote control connection, plug in the connection to the computer soundcard,
power up the system and create local middle aged bass hating enemies.
God I love my job.
Total installation time for me, 2 minutes 25 seconds.
PRODUCT BREAKDOWN & OPINION
Just what do I think about this system?

Product Aesthetics (Layman's Term: Product Looks)
Banking on their successful previous Z line aesthetics, Logitech decided
to stay with the basic speaker construction of the the Z-680 THX certified
surround sound system and basically cut three of the speakers and take
the power down a notch. What is left is a rather attractive system which
has the looks of its bigger brother without the pricetag.
This system should easy incorporate into newer and older system without
becoming an overbearing eyesore.
Product Sound Performance
Whether focusing on the high, mid or low range of frequencies, the
Z2200 system is nothing but spectacular. With a lot of competitor's
systems, I was having a problem with the bass and higher treble frequencies
drowning out the mid range. The sound balance was always off with thumping
bass and ear ripping treble tweets contributing to a very unenjoyable
audio experience.
With the Z2200, everything is on an even plane with all frequency ranges
complimenting each other rather than fighting for supremacy. Throughout
the volume range which I tested quite aggressively, no range fading
was noted and all that was needed for proper sound was to turn the bass
down a bit via the dial on the remote control. Throughout my experience
with car, home theater and computer audio systems, this is completely
normal for bass distortion reduction.
Overall, I can say nothing but positive things about the
sound reproduction using the Z2200 system. The weakness in your computer
audio will be the soundcard after this speaker system is installed.
