PRODUCT PICTORIAL & WALKTHROUGH

As I mentioned earlier, the Yepp YP-780V is a very small MP3 which can be carried in your hand or slipped into a shirt pocket without being noticed. You would think that such a small player would only maybe have 64 or even maybe 128Megs of onboard memory. But this model has a rather large capacity of 256Megs of onboard memory which should be plenty enough space for two hours+ worth of music or any MP3 or WMA audio media.

The control and audio playback buttons are not meant to be pushed and respond quickly to just a slight brush of a finger tip. When a button is activated, it will illuminate orange for about a second and then shut off. This backlighting does help when using this player in low light conditions. I would like to have seen some sort of button backlighting you could engage and constantly keep on through a side switch of some sort.

The two two included AAA batteries are theoretically capable of power this unit for a total of 20 hours. I was able to use this particular sample for around 18 hours before it was total drained. Now seeing that the included batteries are just about as low end as you can get , with a good set of name brand alkaline batteries, I can easily see this unit surpassing 20 hours by quite a bit.

On the right side you have your main power switch that can be switched from off, on, and hold. If you are going to be carrying this in your shirt or even you hand for extended periods, engage the hold function or the touch sensitive buttons will have a glorious time constantly changing tracks and settings for you.

The top contains the internal microphone (good for about 2 feet) seen in the far left of the photo. The encoding line input you can see get to its' right and is the port you can connect the dual male patch cord to and encode standard CD music to MP3 directly without even touching a computer. This is a fabulous feature that allows a user to use this device without even having a computer. Very impressive and adds to this product's flexibility.

Continuing to the right you have the standard headphone jack and the hand strap loop.
