Moving along to the bottom of the player you have the USB/Power connection and a small yet interesting addition is a small white reset button to reset your player to stock defaults which all of us do need from time to time seeing we messed everything up so bad playing around with the features. Curiosity killed this cat and I found this quite handy to start back at square one. To the left of the connection you will also notice the small incorporated microphone that allows you to record your own voice recordings with the press of a button. This microphone is not sensitive to be used as a covert area microphone so you won't be able to pull off a covert spy routine at your next meeting. ;)
From the bottom we move to the top where you will see the encoder cable connection to the left, the handstrap attachment loop in the center and the standard headphone connection to the right. Pretty simple and straight forward.
The 1.8" TFT-LCD full colour screen is nothing less than amazing for such a small device. The display is capable of full motion video along with accurate color reproduction when viewing your favorite photos. The display is large enough to easily read from 2-3 feet away and will auto-dim the backlight when not needed and will turn back on when you press any button.
For a cool side feature, you can choose from 4 different visualizations. three are seen above and the forth is just the static Samsung name on a blue background. The rest are animated. I found the equalizer option in the second from the top photo to be my personal favorite.
