PRODUCT INSTALLATION AND TESTING
Installation is an easy plug and play process; no software is required. Just attach one end of the USB cable to the drive and the other end into a free USB port on your system, and the OS will take care of the rest. The blue LED indicates the drive is ready to use.
For testing out this little drive, I'm going to transfer a file to it and back again to my PC. Times will be recorded. For comparison, I first transferred the file between to SATA drives in my test PC. It took 1 minute, 37 seconds. Let's see how that compares to the Xigmatek Lighter:

As always, your results may vary, but this gives a general idea of what to expect from real world usage. After transferring several files to the drive it became slightly warm to the touch, but nothing that would cause alarm. Did I mention the drive is silent also? No noise can be heard from it at all while it's operating. Overall I am very pleased with the convenience and performance the Lighter provides.
