PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES
Like the other Xigmatek coolers we've had here in the lab, this one features the Heatpipe Direct Touch design featuring four-6mm copper heatpipes. However, Xigmatek has opted to go with a more compact design with a 92mm fan instead of the more common 120mm. As you can see, this yields a smaller cooler that will appeal to users with smaller cases. The PWM fan allows the user to keep the fan as quiet as possible for a given CPU load, and the cooler also has broad compatibility with all modern (and some not so modern,) sockets supported.
The retail box is windowed to show off the included 92mm fan, and the features and specifications are proudly displayed on the sides and back of the retail packaging.
Inside, the HDT SD964 is accompanied with all the accessories necessary for getting it installed on a supported mobo. We'll be going over all these goodies in more detail during the installation phase of this review, but I can say right now that the Intel mounting solution looks very good, and the AMD folks will not be disappointed either. While Xigmatek includes a single fan in the retail box, they also include enough fan mounts to attach a second fan for improved cooling.
