PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES

First of all, let's take a moment to clarify the model numbers that often follow the product name. In this case, SD128264 means that Aegir has a tower design incorporating a 12cm fan, two 8mm and four 6mm copper heatpipes in a unique double-layer design. Aegir is a large cooler, and users should do their homework to make sure that it will fit on their motherboard and in their case.

Fortunately, Xigmatek provides a detailed drawing of the cooler (with two fans attached, although it comes with only one,) to help the user determine the suitability of Aegir for their application.

Aeigr supports all modern sockets and processors (including Intel 775,1156 and 1366 sockets,) and AMD enthusiasts can even use this cooler on their old 754 and 939 platforms. The single 120mm fan with PWM control promises good cooling with a relatively low acoustic footprint. We'll see.
