XFX CORPORATE PROFILE

XFX dares to go where the competition would like to, but can't. That's because, at XFX, we don't just create great digital video components--we build all-out, mind-blowing, performance crushing, competition-obliterating video cards and motherboards. Oh, and not only are they amazing, you don't have to live on dry noodles and peanut butter to afford them.

XFX is a division of PINE Technologies, a leading manufacturer of state-of-the-art processing components.

PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

When you sit down and decide how you are making your videocard better than the market's equivalent product, you have to step beyond what people see as flashy or better than the status quo. Face it, the videocard you release will have direct competition from other manufacturers using the same exact chipset and memory configuration. So what do you do, do you make it look good? Do you make it faster than the rest of the other 7600gt on the market? What about cooling, how are you going to tackle that hurdle? Are you going to strap on a cooler that is nothing like the rest.

Today I will be reviewing XFX's overall answer of "YES" to all the questions posed above. Not only does it look great with the all black look, it is overclocked right out of the box. And let's not forget the completely passive cooler attached which is not only complete silent, it doesn't do a bad job at keep this card relatively cool. My initial introduction to this product had me thinking that this card was set up for disaster. An overclocked mainstream videocard with a passive cooler you say? Well that's nonsense......

See why in the upcoming pages.
