PRODUCT WALKTHROUGH & PICTORIAL

As this is a simple product, a short walkthough should point out all advantages and disadvantages I have seen through my hands on inspection.

The full aluminum cooler covers both the VPU core and the memory. The incorporated fan, although only measuring in at 50mm, is quiet but yet still pushes enough air to keep the card cool even while under overclocked conditions. But there is one bad thing I discovered while giving the card a closer inspection.

Although the four 64meg memory chip are technically "covered" by the heatsink, they are not attached at all. No thermal adhesive, no thermal, essentially nothing but air. As a large oversight and quality control problem, this will also possibly hinder overclocking. The only thing worse that memory completely uncovered and uncooled is memory that is covered completely and uncooled. Air flow will be minimum and therefore cooling will be even worse than if there wasn't anything at all.

The videocard connection panel is comprised of the three stock connections. One analog monitor, one VIVO and one DVI monitor connection. Again, all cards produced today should be two DVI only for flexibility and to allow the user with two DVI digital monitors to take full advantage of their expensive display purchase.
