PRODUCT WALKTHROUGH & PICTORIAL
As mentioned earlier, this product is packed full of features so this section will be rather lengthy in order to cover everything. Be patient and stay with me now...
Starting at the base and moving up, this static monitor base doesn't have any sort of rotation mechanism to aid in rotating the monitor from side to side in certain viewing situations. Thankfully with a 170 degree horizontal field of view, a lot of monitor rotation will not be needed.
Moving front the right to the left, you have the integrated memory card reader which is capable of reading a multitude of different media types including even older types of media like the SmartMedia cards.
On the right side of the base you have three USB connections which are available when the base itself is turned on. These connections do not work when the hub power is turned off.
The center portion houses the iPod docking station which allows you to dock your iPod for charging, music uploading and/or listening through the monitors incorporated 2.1 speaker system. This area is where you change the adapter insert to suit the type of iPod you currently own. To anyone without an iPod, this monitor will not work with any other type or brand of MP3 player.
In front of the dock is the bases' power button which controls power for the iPod dock, the speakers and the USB hub. This power button does NOT control the monitor itself. There is a separate button for the actual panel on the monitor. On either side of the base power button is the headphone connection and the integrated microphone.
On the left side of the base you have the integrated subwoofer port for added bass response. In front of it you will see the subwoofer volume control.
