Registy Booster 2 is purchased via download from www.uniblue.com, and a backup version on CD is also available for an additional fee. There's no difference between the two but for the purposes of this review I received it on a CD.
A trial version is also available to download so you can check out the program before you buy.
PRODUCT INSTALLATION AND TESTING
Installation is very straightforward with most users not needing to change the default install folder. I chose all the default settings and once it's complete…
…it must be registered. Simply type in the registration code provided by Uniblue and you're ready to go. An icon for the program will appear in the system tray when it's running, but that can be turned off in the settings if desired.
This is the Registry Booster 2 main screen, and we'll go over each tab located at the top. The Overview shows the date of the last registry scan and a summary of errors fixed and defrags performed. Scanning for errors can also be done here too.
The Registry Scan tab is, obviously, where you can choose to scan for errors. The option to not include certain types of entries is available as well. We'll take a look at the results of a scan after checking out the other features.
