FCC and UL Recognized
With their 600 watt X3 PSU, Ultra has chosen to go with a single +12V rail of over 430 watts and 36 amps. This should cover the vast majority of user's needs. It also has active PFC and a good efficiency rating of 85%. (According to the manual, this power supply attains 85% efficiency at around 300W and gradually drops to 80% at 600W. Still pretty good.) The X3 is a fully modular PSU with Ultra's “FlexForce” cables. Ultra promises quiet operation from the 135mm cooling fan, and the X3 offers all the protection features we've come to expect from quality power supplies these days. So far, the X3 600W is looking pretty good. Let's see what a buyer will get for their hard-earned dollars.
PRODUCT COMPOSITION

The retail carton consists of a sleeve with a flap that lifts up to provide an overview of the PSU's features and specifications. Another black cardboard carton inside the sleeve contains…

…the power supply, protected by a bag and foam blocks, and another box with…

…the cables, manual and mounting screws. Unlike many PSU manuals, this one actually provides some useful information and is well worth the time it takes to look it over.
