PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH

From this angle, the case remains unchanged. There is the mesh front, sparse IO offerings, a large top fan and vent holes in the right side panel.

The fan is relatively thin for its diameter. This is important because the chassis is not overly wide and some of the tallest CPU coolers on the market are bound to interfere with this fan. The fantail is sleeved in a black mesh material and terminates in a 4-pin molex connector with pass-through functionality.

I really like it when a case manufacturer carries the outside color to the inside of the chassis. This gives the case a finished look and is particularly important when there is a side window involved. I applaud Thermaltake for this new feature, but I'm a bit mystified as to why they do it on this chassis, as opposed to the original, which does have a window.

Unfortunately, the only thing Thermaltake changed here is the color. The HDD cage is the same old restrictive design, the tool free drive and expansion card fixtures are unchanged and the expansion bay covers are of the “break-out” persuasion and no replaceable covers are included. On the floor of the V9 BE, the same PSU fan filter we saw in the earlier iteration of the V9 is retained, despite its poor design and placement.
