PRODUCT FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS

The specs of this power supply are pretty impressive. Four independent +12V rails providing a combined total of 52 amps, modular cabling, up to 85% efficiency, and a 140mm “Qfan” that is advertised as being much quieter than a standard fan. I like what I see so far!
PRODUCT COMPOSITION

Seeing that this power supply is targeted toward a consumer needing a quieter, higher end power supply, the pricing for this 650watt version is around US$155 dollars on the online retail market. My personal opinion is that with the competition in this extremely competitive power supply industry, the pricing is a little steep for what is offered.

The Toughpower is packed neatly inside a flip-top box and covered with foam blocks to prevent any damage during shipping. For further protection, the PSU itself is inside a bubble wrap bag.

A canvas pouch with the Thermaltake logo is included for storing unused cables. Other included accessories are a power cord, 8-pin to 6-pin PCI-E adapter, screws, rubber sound dampener, and an instruction manual.
PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH

This is a fairly attractive PSU and should compliment other components inside a case nicely. Thermaltake describes the color of the outer casing as “hi-tech black” but it's actually more of a metallic gray. Like other Toughpower power supplies, a prominent logo graces the side of the unit.

Voltage specifications are located on top of the unit which showcase some solid power channels for a 650 watt power supply.
