Thermaltake Technology Co., Ltd. started its core business based on our extensive knowledge of PC thermal management during the era where the area of performance CPU cooling was only exclusive for "overclockers" or PC enthusiasts. PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

I lurk around on several different computer forums and a few years back I remember many enthusiasts not recommending Thermaltake power supplies for their rigs. I took their advice for a while, and then I decided to find out for myself why all the hate for these PSU's. I purchased a Purepower 480W in early 2005, and was pleasantly surprised with the performance, value and reliability.

In the last couple of years it appears Thermaltake has shown a marked improvement on their PSU line. Along with many of their cooling products and cases, they are now marketing PSU's to the high-end enthusiast market. Today I'll be checking out the Toughpower 650W model with Qfan, so let's get right to it and see if it provides the clean, stable power that today's rigs demand.
