PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH

As advertised, the Massive23 CS is constructed mainly of aluminum, with the exception of the plastic fan and rubber accents. The open mesh design allows the fan to direct its airflow over the entire bottom surface of a notebook computer. Rubber pads on the bottom corners keep the unit from sliding around on a desk or table, and a strip of the same material keeps the notebook secure on the top surface of the Massive23 CS.

The side profile shows the slight angle that Thermaltake has incorporated into this cooler. As you can see from the above specs, this is a rather large and heavy cooler, more suited to home/office use than as a travel accessory. This slight angle should provide a more comfortable keyboarding experience for most users. We'll try it out a bit later.

The rear of the cooler sports the connectivity/control panel for the fan. Flanking the power port are a green power LED and a button to control the various fan lighting options. While we're on the subject of power…

…the Massive23 CS takes power for the 5V fan directly from an available notebook USB port. An inline switch allows the user to turn the fan on and off.

The fan wiring is very clean on the underside of the cooler, and Thermaltake has provided a couple of “ears” to wind the cable around to help keep it from getting away from the user.
