THERMALTAKE LANBOX INTRODUCTION

Lan parties. The words evoke images of gamers lugging computer gear around the city, bleary-eyed from an all night frag fest, yet wired to the gills on various caffeine products. The Lanbox chassis from Thermaltake won't make these guys look any better, but it'll be much easier to carry. Not only is it relatively lightweight and compact, but our review sample (model VF1000BWS ) has a sturdy aluminum handle that's perfect for transporting the Lanbox around town, and windows on both sides show off your hardware to the other gamers at the event. This chassis is available in various incarnations, with or without windows and a handle. It's been around for a few years and we reviewed the aluminum version back in 2007. (See the review HERE .) This chassis design has been a good seller for Thermaltake for more than three years, a good long run for a mATX computer chassis! Let's take a look at this version and see how the design stands the test of time.
