PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH

Thermaltake's Element S has a very distinctive look with its semi-flat black finish and bright red accent around the door. I applaud Thermaltake for marketing a chassis with a new look, rather than trying to foist a thinly veiled copy of another case already available.

The side panels feature a simple but elegant design incorporating a meshed vent near the rear. Thermaltake will also produce an Element S case with a 230mm side panel case fan (model VK60001W2Z) that may be more suitable for gamers and other multi GPU enthusiasts.

Moving around to the rear, we find the PSU placement at the bottom of the case and a pair of round breakouts that could be used for watercooling tubing, but there are no grommets included. The other expected features, namely a 120mm exhaust fan placement, an I/O shield and expansion bay covers are in their customary places and six large thumbscrews secure the side panels to the steel chassis. Two unpopulated placements for 60mm case fans are provided to help cool the graphics card area. The black finish is extended to the rear panel and bottom of the case, as well as the interior.

The top of the Element S has a unique look as well. The front is home to the I/O ports, while the rear portion is divided by a rib separating two mesh panels that partially conceal the top 230mm exhaust fan.
