Thermaltake's Element G has a very distinctive look with its semi-flat black finish and bright red accent around the side panels. A large front intake fan and meshed front panel promise good airflow and cooling while three large bays should satisfy most users, unless an external 3.5-inch bay is necessary.



The top of the Element G has a unique look as well. The front is home to the I/O ports, while the rear portion incorporates a mesh panel that partially conceals the top 200mm exhaust fan. This fan, along with the front and side fans, has Thermaltake's “Touchcolor” feature, allowing the user to change the illumination hue of the fan LEDs.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


The I/O panel is full featured with audio ports, and four USB ports. The chrome power button has a blue status light incorporated into the design and the HDD activity light resides above the small reset button. The large knob on the left-hand side of the panel controls fan speed and lighting, a very nice feature that we'll go over in more detail later.



Moving around to the rear, we find the PSU placement at the bottom of the case and a pair of round breakouts that could be used for watercooling tubing, but there are no grommets included. The other expected features, namely a 140mm exhaust fan placement, an I/O shield and expansion bay covers are in their customary places and six large thumbscrews secure the side panels to the steel chassis. Two unpopulated placements for 60mm case fans are provided to help cool the graphics card area. The black finish is extended to the rear panel and bottom of the case, as well as the interior.
