PRODUCT INSTALLATION AND TESTING

Another optional accessory is the iStripe. Wrapping it around the sections of tubing will help prevent bending or other deformities over time. A bent tube in a liquid cooling system could be disastrous for the CPU if it's not caught right away, so anything that can help prevent that is a plus.

After the ProWater had been installed and running for a few days to allow the thermal paste to set, temperature readings were recorded. Ambient room temperature was kept at 20C. Idle temps were recorded after the PC had been sitting at the Windows desktop for one hour, and load temps were recorded after two hours of blend testing with Orthos Prime. Fan speed was set at maximum.

The ProWater did a bit better than a couple other liquid cooling systems when the system was idle, and load temps were right in line with the 760i system. With some better cable management in my case, the CPU and case temps could change slightly and regardless, they are still within acceptable range. The fan is extremely noisy when at high speed, but it moves a ton of air. At low speeds it is barely noticeable.
