PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH

High quality is the norm for Thermalright, and the HR-03 is no exception. The fins have holes through them for efficient ventilation and heat dispersion. The finish is excellent and the fins are spaced widely enough to allow good circulation without strong airflow.

Here you can see the serpentine routing of the outermost ‘pipes, resulting in massive fin contact and, presumably, excellent cooling. In the testing phase, we'll find out just how well this design works.

The finish is quite good on both sides of the nickel-plated copper base. The ramsinks are extruded aluminum and seem to have an anodized silver finish. Thermal tape is pre-applied.

The mounting hardware is well designed and allows for a tool-free install. There are a couple of ramsinks with little in the way of fins, and we'll discuss that later. Double-threaded screws, knurled nuts and rubber grommets secure the brackets that keep the base properly located and in good contact with the GPU. Between the brackets is a “cushpad” that will be needed if the GPU isn't surrounded by a metal bracket. Fan clips are provided should the user wish it attach a 92mm fan (not included.)
