Just to the left of the drives, are a series of status indicators and a USB port. Their functions are as follows:
DOM LED
• Solid orange: system is being upgraded
WAN LED
• Solid green: network link
• Blinking green: network activity
LAN LED
• Solid green: network link
• Blinking green: network activity
USB Copy LED
• Solid blue: files are being copied from a USB storage device
Busy LED
• Blinking orange: system startup or system maintenance; data currently inaccessible
USB Port
• USB 2.0 port for compatible USB devices, such as digital cameras, USB disks, USB printers, and USB wireless dongles

Below these are the power and reset buttons, along with a small VFD screen and some control buttons. From left to right they are:
Up Button • Push to scroll up when using the LCD display
Down Button • Push to scroll down when using the LCD display
Enter Button • Push to confirm information entered into the LCD display
Escape Button • Push to leave the current LCD menu
These buttons will let you navigate the menus via the VFD screen, but it's much easier to use the web interface.


The rear of the unit looks just like a regular computer…kinda. Just below the main 92mm exhaust fan is a tiny little power supply with power cord socket and switch. Connectivity is provided via three USB ports (two Type A and one Type B,) an eSATA port, two RJ-45 ethernet connectors and a serial port.
