PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH

The DS107e is a nice looking device measuring 8.75 X 2.5 X 6.5 inches. The bright white case and gray front panel looks great when all lit up. You'll see a bit later.

The front panel lights are self-explanatory and just below these is a USB port and the green “USB Copy” button. This button lights up when a USB device (digital camera, flash drive, etc.) is connected to the DS107e. Pressing the button will then copy the data from the USB device to the internal hard drive.

Just below the USB copy button is an eSATA port and the power switch.

The rear of the device features a cooling fan, two USB ports, a LAN port, the reset button and the input port for the power adapter.

The bottom of the DS107e has four rubber feet and an air intake for the cooling system. Synology cautions the user never to use the device when lying on its side, and never block the intake slots during use.
