SYNOLOGY DS-212 INTRODUCTION

If you're a regular visitor here at Tweaknews, you've probably read our reviews of Synology's NAS units. Several models have been sent to the lab for testing over the past few years, and they have consistently been among the best home/SOHO NAS products on the market. They are powerful, stable, feature rich, and operate at a quiet noise level. Their DSM interface is very intuitive and updates are released on a regular basis to further enhance it.
Synology is beginning to make some changes to the hardware side of things as well, and it's evident on their new DS-212 NAS. This two-bay model adds USB 3.0, an SD card slot, and some slight changes to the enclosure that make installing and removing drives a lot easier. Let's take a walk around this NAS and check it out further.
