There are a wealth of features and specs beyond what I've listed here; so many in fact that it would be easy to take up a couple more pages. A full listing can be found on Synology's website.
So to sum it up, this is a fairly robust NAS that is probably better suited for a corporate environment or for users who run a business at home and have network storage needs that go beyond the basics. For the average computer user in search of a starter NAS, the DS-209 is likely to be overkill.
PRODUCT COMPOSITION

Synology packed the NAS in a plain box that arrived without any indication of careless mishandling by the shipper. It was even double boxed; complete with foam blocks inside to prevent the contents from being jostled around.

Everything to get the NAS up and running is included with the exception of the hard drives. Accessories include a power cable, setup CD, quick start guide, and Ethernet cable. A full manual in PDF format is available on the setup CD.
