<--SHOP FOR A STEEL SERIES STEELPAD QCK HEAVY MOUSE PAD HERE
PRODUCT COMPOSITION

The QcK Heavy comes in a neat reusable package. I was happy to see that once opened you could close the packaging up again. Great for lugging your huge mouse pad to LANs.

Once out of its tidy box you get your fist look at the sheer size of this thing. Its HUGE, I know I have used that word to describe it already but damn, nothing else describes it better.

The QcK Heavy is not only large but it's also thick, making it very comfortable to use during extended gaming or graphic work.

Here is a comparison shot with the QcK+ (bold text links to review) and the QCK Heavy. As you can see the QcK Heavy is a lot thicker than its thinner cousin.
PRODUCT IMPRESSIONS
As I said earlier I found that I had issues with the QcK Heavy and my particular mouse (A4 Tech WOP–35, 5 button optical). Any quick movement caused the curser to do a jig on the screen, not what you need in a fast pace deathmatch. However I also tested with a Logitech MX700 and found that the problem seemed to be specific to my mouse. I personally dislike cloth pads, they get dirty quickly and in most cases the cloth tends to peel away from the rest of the mouse pad. On the dirt front the QcK heavy was no exception, I did however find that the cloth remained firmly attached to the pad throughout my rigorous testing. Trust me, if I can't make the edges lift in two weeks I doubt anyone else could. SteelSeries has proved yet again that quality is King.
COMFORT
Aside from the issues I have with cloth mouse pads I did find the QcK Heavy to be extremely comfortable to use, in fact I have now got it sitting under my regular plastic mouse pad so I have a nice soft palm rest.
