System Requirements:

Stardock offers Object Desktop in two different formats: a downloadable version, and a physical CD format. Most will choose the downloadable, but for those who prefer to have a physical CD, it is available for a small charge.
I received a package consisting of a DVD-style case with the CD, and a folder with extensive documentation.
PRODUCT INSTALLATION AND TESTING
From here on, I'll be referring to the entire suite as OD.

If you choose the CD package, installation is quick and easy. The CD comes with all of the programs that make up the complete suite. The first program to install is Stardock Central, the core utility needed for installation and updating of OD. After that small install, the rest of the programs in the suite are installed and activated. If you choose the downloadable version, it's a more tedious affair. Download and install Stardock Central, then download and install each individual program.
In either case, you are not required to install all of the programs- you can pick and choose what you want.
In addition, many of the individual programs have trial versions, which allow you to try them out before buying. The trial-version programs can also be purchased seperately, in case you don't want the entire suite.
Since an in-depth review of all of the programs in the suite would quickly turn into story that would rival War and Peace for length (and boredom), I'll touch briefly on each of the programs, divided somewhat by category.
