SinTekô was established to meet the demands of the next generation computers. Its founders saw the forth coming of a new era of computing in which the power supply would play a greater role in the overall performance of the computer system. As technology evolves month by month, it demands a greater amount of power and efficiency, SinTek will meet this demand and maximize its products limits with research and development. SinTek was first conceptualized during CES in Las Vegas ; however its origins come from creating OEM power supplies too many of today's power supply vendors for the past five years. SinTek steps into the light with experience and strong research and development with a passion in creating a name for itself as, " America 's Leading Power Supply Manufacturer."
Multi-GPU setups seem to be the wave of the future for PC gaming enthusiasts. CrossFire and SLI technologies (from ATI and Nvidia, respectively) have been able to shatter previous single-card benchmarks, giving gamers uber framerates and stunning graphics. But, like most new technology, this super performance comes at a price, and not only in dollars. With two power-hungry graphics cards plus a high end CPU and peripherals to feed, the power supply has a big job to do. Choosing the right PSU for these systems is even more critical and difficult than ever before.
SinTek Industries, a relative newcomer to the consumer PSU market, has just released a pair of units that they claim will make your choice much easier. SinTek has provided us with their SLI series 500W unit for this review. They also offer a black 600W PSU with similar specifications and features.
