PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES
SilverStone's GD06 sports a sturdy steel chassis with a plastic front panel and an aluminum door. Measuring just 17.3 inches wide, 5.9 inches in height and 13.4 inches deep, this case should fit easily into virtually all home theater furniture while providing internal space for motherboards up to mATX and ATX power supplies up to 150mm in length. It will also support graphics cards up to eleven inches long with room left over for an optical drive and up to five hard drives in the configurations listed above. Three 120mm fans, complete with dust filters are all configured as intakes for a positive pressure cooling scheme and there are placements for two optional 80mm exhaust fans on the rear panel of the case. As we'll see a bit later, the five expansion bays have an unusual arrangement and the extra bay or two will be a real boon to many users.
Power supply length is limited by the left intake fan size. The GD06 will support power supplies with a depth of up to 150mm. SilverStone warns that a power supply featuring modular cables may interfere with the hot-swappable hard drive racks, so potential customers should make sure they will not interfere with each other.
SilverStone also helps with PSU selection by providing a table in the manual with minimum cable lengths required by the GD06. There are also several other verbal and graphical aids in the manual to allow the user to confirm that the hardware that hey have (or will have to purchase,) will fit inside the GD06. You can view the manual HERE.
