…should the user wish to mount two fans. I'll just caution potential users to purchase either a matching Silenx fan or an identical pair of fans to avoid poor cooling performance as a result of mismatched fans.
I'm excited to see this Silenx cooler in action, so let's move on to the installation section of this review.
PRODUCT INSTALLATION AND TESTING

Our testbed for this review consists of the following hardware:

All coolers were tested in the open case pictured above. Keep in mind that temps inside your case will be different, depending on the chassis and airflow.

The first order of business its to gather the stuff we'll need to get this cooler on the motherboard. After reading the instructions, it turns out that the bracket installation is really very simple. Once the orientation has been determined, one simply presses the bracket onto the mobo (it even holds itself in place for you,) and push the pins (Silenx calls them “buckles” for some reason) into the holes until they are flush with the top of the bracket. Simple!

The next step may be a bit trickier, depending upon your motherboard layout. I got this cooler on with just a little trouble due to the large Northbridge heatsink and its proximity to the lower mounting clip.
