CONCLUSIONS AND AFTERTHOUGHTS

With the Silent Boost RX K8, Thermaltake has targeted the user who values compactness and silence over maximum effort cooling. For example, this would be an excellent choice for a home theater PC where space is always an issue and quiet cooling is a necessity. Modestly priced and widely available, the RX K8 shouldn't be overlooked when choosing components for that specialty PC that may be in your future.

Pros:

- Inexpensive
- Quality construction
- Easy installation
- Relatively compact
- Very, very quiet
- Availability

Cons:

- Unimpressive base finish
- Unimpressive cooling (although a bit better than stock)
