SAPPHIRE HD 5550 ULTIMATE EDITION VIDEOCARD INTRODUCTION
Whenever the world Ultimate is mentioned when referencing hardware, of course people will notice and usually get a little curious. In the case of this videocard being reviewed today from Sapphire, once the curiosity starts some investigating, some people will get why this reference is being used in conjunction with a mainstream Radeon HD 5550 videocard. They will get that the "ultimate" reference is targeted towards the rather impressive passive heatpipe cooler strapped onto this rather interesting videocard and see why that kind of terminology is used. For others, once they dig a little deeper and see that this Radeon HD 5550 based videocard is complimented with 1Gb of DDR2, that is where some enthusiasts will snap back, scrunch up their face in dismay and mutter to themselves..."This is Sapphire's Ultimate Edition card?"......with DDR2?
