SAPPHIRE HD 5770 INTRODUCTION
Sapphire's latest DX11 support HD5770 release is a product targeted towards the mainstream user who wants DX11 supporting gaming along with better frame rates with their current DX10 games. With a core clock of 850Mhz and 1.36
TeraFLOPS and
850M polygons/sec of throughput, this should be quite a stout mainstream piece of gaming hardware. But with a price tag coming in at about US$50 more than the release of the HD4770, it better bring some value to table to compliment the raise in price.
But with DirectX 11 gaming only in its infancy, you should pay attention to the results to see whether this should be an upgrade over say a HD4850 you already have while only using games supporting DirectX10. The HD5770 will be a good jumping off point to see just how well this new core can handle new DX11 and still bring more pop to past DirectX 10 and DirectX 9 games.
So will this videocard bring something new or will it be relatively the same as a HD4770 but with a new label. Read on to page 2 to find out.
