And alas, the control panel. Everything here is relatively quite simple and self-explanatory. The "Error" light is to indicate paper jams, etc.. The "Manual" indicates when you are using the front paper loading tray. The "Paper" indicates when you are out of paper and the "Data" flashes when data to be printed is being sent to the printer. Other than that, the rest of the buttons speak for themselves except the "Toner Save" button. Press this button when you are doing drafts and unimportant documents to save 40% on your toner. Frankly, I use it all the time seeing that even when the toner is cut to 60%, it still looks better than on ANY inkjet printer.

Now speaking of inkjet printers, I just want to show you the difference in size between the two subjective print technologies. The footprint is not that much bigger and will fit on most desks, even my old crappy one.
CONCLUSIONS & AFTERTHOUGHTS
All in all, I would have to say that my introduction into the Laser Printing realm has been a smooth and trouble-free. I now enjoy the quick printing of my documents at great speeds with text sharper than an inkjet could even hope to provide. Sure it is a little more expensive, but if you figure in the cost of constantly replacing those tiny ink cartridges at $30USD minimum a pop, the printer will practically pay for itself. And face it, it's a Samsung which insures quality. What more could you ask for. This product is awarded the Top Rank Award because anything less, just would not be fair for a product of this quality.
Pro's:
- Fast Printing Speeds (15ppm MAX)
- Exceptional Print Quality (Even in "Toner Save" Mode)
- Low operation costs per printed sheet of paper.
Con's:
- More expensive than inkjet printers.
- Power Button would be better suited somewhere in the front of the unit for easier access.
- Sound levels could use some dampening or maybe current laser printing technologies do not permit it.
