Let's take a virtual walk around the TV to point out some of its external features.

Starting off at the base, the brushed aluminum lower surface is highlighted with a transparent stock that connects the monitor's rotational mechanism. Side to side movement is pretty generous and allows for around 20 degrees of movement from on either side without compromising the monitor's stability. Overall it is very well planted and its reduced weight when compared to previous LCD TVs will reduce the top heavy nature of this TV.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The two inch outer bezel is trimmed with clear plastic to give it an appearance much like a picture frame. Contained within the lower right bezel is the TV function control panel for changing settings on your TV if you lose your remote.

As you move around to the side of this TV, you come face to face with the key feature of this TV. Measuring in at only 1.2 inches, the side profile can't get much thinner. In fact, it is almost comical.

While I know I have a fat thumb, you just can't wrap your mind around how Samsung was able to compress a screen, and backlight into such a small profile. Now will it make a difference to the person that will keep it on its stand? Not really. But it still will be a good thing to show and display to tech savvy friends. Who will really take full advantage will be people wanting to wall mount their unit. With a depth less than some picture frames I have on the wall currently, this TV was made to be wall mounted.
