So what do you get for US$700? Although this is not a bargain monitor by any stretch of the imagination, as you will see in the upcoming pages, this isn't exactly the easiest monitor to manufacturer. Everything is first class.

First out is the user's manual, cleaning cloth and warranty paperwork and the software CD. Make sure you register this product to take advantage of your warranty. But to be honest, with my experience with Samsung monitors, unless there is some glaring fluke, you won't have to use it. Samsung's monitors have yet to fail me once over the past 10 years.
The hardware kit included a dual link DVI cable (mandatory for 120hz), a power cable along with an external power supply. Nothing more is needed other than an HDMI cable which was not included with this model. A quick trip to ebay and a couple of dollars and you will have that cable in a couple of days. But the stand out addition is the Active Shutter 3D glasses. It is nice to have a product where you don't have to go out and buy an accessory in order to take advantage of its features. I personally think all 3D TVs should all come with 3D glasses as well.
Although this is a very large monitor, it is very light for its size thanks to the slim overall construction and lightweight materials. It has been a while since I have reviewed a 27 inch model and the upgrade from the 21.5 inch model I was using previously was pretty substantial. But overall, you call tell this is one of Samsung's premium 9-Series monitors. Everything about it is aesthetic. From the construction, to the piano gloss plastic which contrasts with the large amount of brushed aluminum. It might sound a little cliche, but you have to see it in person to appreciate it.
Let's move on to the next page and take a better look around this monitor and point out some interesting features.
