So what do you get for US$300? Much like the similarly priced BX2350, the PX2370 is still quite a bit more expensive than a lot of the competition's models currently on the market. Now I can't personally vouch for the competition's picture quality and video playback, but the $50-$100 price difference is quite considerable. But as you will see, this isn't a bargain basement model and technically at this given time it is the highest 23 inch model Samsung has on sale.
First out is the user's manual, cleaning cloth and warranty paperwork and the software CD. Make sure you register this product to take advantage of your warranty.
But to be honest, with my experience with Samsung monitors, unless there is some glaring fluke, you won't have to use it. Samsung's monitors have yet to fail me once over the past 8 years.
The hardware kit included a DVI, VGA to DVI and a power cable along with an external power supply. Nothing more is needed other than an HDMI cable which was not included with this model.
And last out is assembled is the Samsung Syncmaster PX2370. First impressions I had while putting this monitor together is that it is one very sexy piece of hardware. The glossy construction, the transparent base stock and hidden controls completed a very simple and stylish product. There wasn't any standout features that has you eyes focusing on a certain portion of the monitor. The whole package just seemed to come together as product that looked expensive. Mind you, with the price, you would hope it looked as expensive as it actually is.
Let's move on to the next page and take a better look around this monitor and point out some interesting features.
