So what do you get when you purchase this HUGE plasma TV for around US$2200-2400 depending on the location?
Well first off, you if you buy a huge TV, as usual you also inherit a tremendous box. Make sure you have someone handy to help you lug this behemoth into your house. This is a lighter plasma than years past thanks to the lack of a thick glass panel, but it is still a two person job.
As always you will receive a manual along with a quick setup guide and warranty paperwork. But in addition you get some PC sharing software and a lint-free cleaning cloth for occasional dust removal.
The included wall mounting kit is complete with all mounting hardware, safety lines and loom along with the plate to cover the void left when the stand is removed.
With this generation of TVs, Samsung chose to use its newer remote control which has larger backlit keys and a glossy black finish. Most buttons are properly labeled and intuitive and the remote is very easy to use.
And at last you have your new Samsung PN58B650 lifted onto the the top of your stand. Although it is a little heavier than the PN58B850 reviewed HERE, it is still very close to the weight of the same sized LCD TV. You can't expect something this big to be anything but a little hard to move around, but once it is in place, you won't be worrying about it much.
Other than the weight, the overall aesthetics of this new TV is pretty stylish with a simple TOC (Touch of Color) design glossy materials.
More on that on the next page.
