So what do you get for US$370? Well, if it was only for a 24" monitor, it would be priced way to high but seeing this is also a fully functioning LED TV, you can see that for a little more money you essentially double the value.
First out is the user's manual, cleaning cloth and warranty paperwork and the software CD. Make sure you register this product to take advantage of your warranty.
The hardware kit included the parts to make up the base, a cable organizer, a VGA and audio patch cable along with an external power supply and power cord. What is missing is a DVI cable which comes with most recent LED monitors from Samsung. Read on to find out why.
And last out is assembled is the Syncmaster FX2490HD. Assembly was not covered but it couldn't be more simple. Simply insert the base into the keyed portion of the lower monitor and secure with two screws. it takes all of 2 minutes to put together and I figure most readers know how to use a screw driver.
Overall first impressions are fairly positive with the excellent aesthetics and stiff build construction. For a 24inch monitor, it is actually quite light as well even for its relatively large size. The one thing I did like was Samsung's new four-leg monitor stand which is much more stable and looks so much better than the usual square/round base configurations seen in older monitor reviews.
Let's move on to the next page and take a better look around this monitor and point out some interesting features.
