So what do you get for US$300? To some this might seem a little expensive for a 23 inch model when the competition is boasting prices that vary between US$70-$120 cheaper. The thing I do notice is that it is still US$50 cheaper than the same 2009 model to prices are trending in the right direction. But does Samsung's brand name make up for the price premium? Well, let me say this, out of all the Samsung monitors I have reviewed in the past, not ONE has failed. Not even a dead pixel in over 8 years. Food for thought.

First out is the user's manual, cleaning cloth and warranty paperwork and the software CD. Make sure you register this product to take advantage of your warranty.

The hardware kit included a DVI to HDMI, VGA and a power cable along with an external power supply. The one thing that threw me for a loop for the DVI to HDMI cable. This is the first model I have reviewed with this type of connection. When hooking this monitor up I forgot this cable was included and mistakenly inferred that seeing there was not DVI connection on the back of the monitor that there was no digital connection. Only after inspecting this cable further did I see the adapter. Silly me....

And last out is assembled is the Syncmaster BX2370. All that is needed for assembly is the slip the panel into the base and you were all set. Overall initial thoughts were that this monitor is incredibly light due to the external power supply and the featherweight LED backlight assembly and the stylish, yet simple base. In addition, the structural rigidity of this model is much stiffer than the XL2370 I reviewed recently HERE. Simple and stylish would be two words I would use to sum up my first impressions accurately.

Let's move on to the next page and take a better look around this monitor and point out some interesting features.
