PRODUCT PICTORIAL & WALKTHROUGH
Let's take a virtual walk around this product.
The left side of the front panel houses the main power control, the disc tray and the tray open/close control. Missing is the memory card reader that was included with the BD-P1000. Another thing missing which I found to be a nice touch was the blue backlit Blu-ray symbol.
The blue onboard display is clear, very simple and is practically like any other DVD player/VCR you have used in the past. Beside the display is an area where the active output source will illuminate and as you can see, the HDMI is the stock output connection. Just too bad there isn't a cable to take advantage of it out of the box.
The front controls are comprised of the play/pause, track forward and reverse and stop. Missing is the illuminated dial and outer ring which was a nice touch with the BD-P1200.
The BD-P1200's rear is much like the BDP-1000, but the one difference is the inclusion of a LAN ethernet connection for integrating and utising the Samsung's AnyNet+ functionality. Other than that small difference, you still have your composite, component and HDMI video/audio connections.
