The Samsung SyncMaster 940BW is a 19-inch Wide TFT-LCD delivering a 500:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 1440 x 900 resolution, 160 degree viewing angle and scanning frequency of 30-81kHz horizontal and 56-75Hz vertical. It is also HDTV Ready with DVI input with HDCP support.

For a rather decent price of US$220-$250, you will receive the following.
As usual you get your monitor driver CD with included color tuning software and your warranty registration paperwork. Make sure you fill out your warranty and mail it to Samsung so you can be covered in case of a problem. not that you will have one, I have yet to have one single problem with the several monitors I have reviewed from them.
Now this is something I am glad to see, Samsung was smart enough to include both types of video signal cables for this monitor seeing it is capable of utilizing an analog or a digital connection. Nice to see when they don't skimp on the hardware bundle.
And you will receive the monitor and its' separate base. Assembly is incredibly simple, just insert the top into the base and attach them bother together with the bases incorporated thumbscrew.
