PRODUCT WALKTHROUGH & PICTORIAL

Let's take a virtual walk around this large monitor.

Starting from the bottom and moving up, the first thing to talk about is the base. Although not overly huge, the smallish base keeps this rather large monitor planted very well. And the best thing about it is that is can rotate 360 degrees which makes for easy viewing for co-workers when you can swing the monitor around for them to view. The rotation is smooth and effortless with only moderate resistance to keep it in control. You don't know how many monitors about there still are coming out with a static base. In today's market there isn't an excuse for that other than to save money.

(The hair in this photo makes me want to constantly blow it off the photo.)

Moving up, you come to the main control panel which allows you to access the features and configuration menus needed for setting up your new monitor.

Menu - Allows access to your configuration menu for changing your color, contrast and signal input configuration.

Navigation Up / Down Keys - Allows you to navigate through the menu and also enables the brightness and preset contrast controls when the menu command is not enabled.

Source - Allows you to change the signal input source from the various connections available on the rear and side panels.

Auto - Auto-configuration button to allow the monitor to configure and align itself while using an analog VGA connection. (Not available while using a DVI cable)

PIP (Picture in Picture) - Functionality which allows you to use your monitor for computer use and view external video content at the same time.

While we are on this photo, I also wanted to point out that this monitor looks larger than its real 24inch dimensions thanks to 18mm bezel surrounding the whole screen. Thin bezels are in and are here to stay.

Turning the monitor to the side you can take a look at the monitor's side profile. As said earlier, it is not as slim as some other models from Samsung and their competition. With an overall depth of 24cm, and most of that being just the base, the monitor is still would be easy fit on any desk. And even if that would be a problem, this monitor is wall mountable.

On the other side of this monitor you have a side connection panel complete with component video inputs that will allow you to use this as a HD monitor for Blu-Ray movie viewing, console gaming, or even viewing your movies from an HD camcorder.

And remember when I was point out the USB connection and the integrated hub? Well, here it is integrated into the left side of the monitor with no less than four handy USB connections at your finger tips. Makes hooking up peripherals a lot easier and save you from always leaning down to get at the USB connections on the computer case.
