The SAMSUNG SyncMaster™ 2263UW is a Widescreen LCD monitor that delivers a fast response time of 5ms, DC 8000:1 contrast ratio, 1680 x 1050 high resolution and horizontal/vertical viewing angle of 170º/160º.
PRODUCT COMPOSITION
So what do you get for US$250-US$300? First off, you will get a better product box than what I received. This poor test mule has been beaten up pretty bad and has the battle scars of a seasoned testing veteran. =)
First out is the user's manual, cleaning cloth and warranty paperwork. Make sure you register this product to take advantage of your warranty. The hardware accessory pack is complete for all normal monitor use, but is missing the microphone and audio patch cord. Nice to see that Samsung didn't skimp out on the USB cable in order to use the integrated USB hub and webcam.
And finally you have your monitor unpacked. First impressions are that this monitor is remarkably light, yet rigid and well built for a 22 inch model. The monitor surround is glossy, but the screen itself has a matte finish for reduced glare and reflection. Although we will cover the features in more detail, you would have a hard time finding the webcam, microphone and speaker unless you looked a lot closer which we will do in the next section.
