PRODUCT WALKTHROUGH & PICTORIAL

Let's see what physical features this monitor has to offer. The one thing that I read in most descriptions about this particular model number is that there is supposed to be some sort of integrated USB hub in the stand. The sample I am currently testing doesn't have that feature so make sure you check to see if the feature is included. It is probably included in some countries and not in others. Don't ask me why though seeing I can't understand the ommision myself.

Starting from the bottom and moving up, the monitor has stable circular stand bottom that is capable of a full 365 degrees of rotation. This is a nice feature for example when you want to show a co-worker something on your display without physically picking up the monitor and rotating it into their line of sight. It does comes in handy.

Moving up we come to the thin 15mm bezel which gives the user an impression that the screen is bigger than a equivelent sized monitor with a thicker bezel. Incorporated in the lower right hand portion of the bezel is the touch sensitive control panel. Now when I say touch sensitive, I mean heat sensitive seeing the button activates on heat rather than the need to press. Just a gentle tap with your fingertip is all that is needed.

The controls are as follows:

Menu - Allows access to your configuration menu for changing your color, contrast and signal input configuration.

Navigation Up / Down Keys - Allows you to navigate through the menu and also enables the brightness and preset contrast controls when the menu command is not enabled.

Source - Allows you to change the signal input source from the two connections available.

Auto - Auto-configuration button to allow the monitor to configure and align itself while using an analog VGA connection. (Not available while using a DVI cable)

Power - Well, everyone knows what a power button does.

Now one of the features that Samsung does want to the potential buyer to know is that the 2243BW's stand is extremely flexible and allows the user to tilt, lift, rotate and pivot this monitor into the position you require.
